Make A Wish

This past Thursday I was coming back home from a meeting and I caught myself wishing to see a shooting star. "God if you show me a shooting star then I will KNOW that I am in the right place." Literally 5 seconds later, there it was. Right after that, again I was looking up to the sky hoping and praying to see another shooting star. I caught myself thinking, "God I will know FOR SURE that you are sending me a sign if you just send one more shooting star" I waited...and waited and 30 minutes later there is was!

Holy cow! If that wasn't God sending me a sign then I don't know what else it could be! Then I started thinking about what it could mean and I ended up googling it to find out. "What does it mean when you see two shooting stars in one night?" I read, good luck and a change is coming. That got me excited and I kept thinking about how this change was going to happen. What could it be? How long will it take? What sort of plans does God have up his sleeves? Will my wishes get granted because I received two wishes instead of just one?

The next day I realized something as my mind was racing. What do I need a shooting star to grant my wishes when I can go out and grant them myself. God gave me gifts and talents that were meant to allow me to reach my highest potential. He also gave us the ability to make our own decisions. So whether or not you choose to hone in on your abilities is 100% up to you. Therefore, whether or not you succeed in life is 100% up to you.

So here is what I learned from this whole experience. Everyone needs to stop waiting on a wish, including myself! We have genius in our hands. We have gifts and talents that God gave us to achieve our craziest dreams and trust me when I say that my dreams are crazy! No matter how big our dreams are, do you think that God thinks that they are too big? Nope!

There is a reason why he put those dreams in our hearts. He wants us to achieve them. Nothing will be impossible for us if we have faith in him and belief in ourselves and our own capabilities.

Why do we feel like we NEED a shooting star to wish on in order to have our wish granted? Why not go out there and chase after our own shooting stars instead of waiting?

Another thing that comes to mind. Why does it take a physician, to tell us that we have 6 months to a year to live before we start going after the things that we have always dreamed of? Why not today!? Why not right now!?

Here is a guarantee for you...you are going to die. Yep, believe it or not, NO ONE will get out of life alive! You need to live your life NOW. You need to chase your dreams NOW. Start acting like today is the last day.
